About Me
Hi, I am Sabrina Kirkland, the owner and holistic practitioner of Sabrina Kirkland Acupuncture and Wellness. I always lead with acupuncture and the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. However, incorporate multiple healing modalities to make for an individual and unique healing experience.
I spent the first 13 years of my career working in various sales and marketing roles in the semiconductor industry. Although quick to climb the ladder of success, the lack of fulfillment led me to the realization that my passion was in people. In 1999, I received my certification in hypnotherapy through Hypnosis Motivation Institute. Learning just how powerful the subconscious mind is and how it plays a huge part in our health and well-being, truly embracing the mind-body connection. Working with a variety of client issues, the most rewarding was working with those clients that were READY to do the mental/spiritual work. Providing them with a new way to think gave them the ability to empower themselves, therefore creating positive change. Soon thereafter, I became certified in Reiki (energy healing) and Reflexology (therapeutic foot massage) and introduced both modalities into my hypnotherapy practice to complete the mind-body-spirit circle. In 2001, I took my healing practice one step further by incorporating the respected ancient healing principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). After four years of intense study, I graduated with a Masters Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine. I am a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and diplomat in Oriental Medicine in the State of California. TCM philosophy not only teaches the wisdom of the mind-body-spirit connection but literally explains how unresolved emotions and traumas create pain and disease in the physical body when left unchecked. After losing my mom to pancreatic cancer in 2012, I dove deeper into the world of nutrition. Overwhelmed by the research of how truly lacking our food is, I became motivated to share the meaning of “good” nutrition and offer suggestions for each of us to consciously eat the foods that heal versus hinder. We are what we eat. Now with a full toolbox of healing therapies, education, and vigor, my mission as a holistic practitioner is to promote and facilitate a healthy balance between mind-body-spirit. I aim to guide each person forward on their own healing journey and to live life with purpose and passion. I invite each patient to actively participate in their own healing process through treatment, education, and action. I am confident that with the tools I offer, positive change is on its way for you!

My Philosophy
Finding Balance and Harmony
Since the earliest recorded history, indigenous cultures have worked with the body’s unique energy systems to heal their people. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), these energy systems are made of Qi; the balance of this vital energy keeps us healthy and alive.
Qi (pronounced chi) is a vital force, life, breath, thought, intuition, etc. It is the integrity that holds, as well as let us go. It is physical motion, cognitive thought, emotions, and our own spiritual connection. Qi can be interpreted as the life energy or life force which flows within all of us.
I believe we are spiritual beings first and that we all have a divine purpose, yet we have chosen to forget by design. We are here to learn, grow, and to be of service,
However, sometimes, we lose our way, and circumstances present themselves that shift us into change and into a new reality. The health of the physical body, mental mind, and heart consciousness depend on the balance and flow of Qi.
The fact we are spiritual beings first means that we are more energy, not just a skin suit, while on this planet. Energy is easier to manipulate than dense matter, and If we can remember who we are at the core, change is easier. Being able to understand this concept is the first and most important step in our healing process! Let me help you get your Qi in the balance!
